August 25, 2019
Battle of the Bulge:  Dec 16, 1944 – Jan 25, 1945

Beginning September 6, 2019  and lasting through September 14th, Andrew "Tim" Kiniry, along with 13 other World War II veterans of this fighting arena, will visit Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany to commemorate the explosive charge by the German Army making one last attempt to beat back the Allied Forces and the subsequent counter-attack that led to the end of the war in Europe.  This blog will highlight Sergeant Kiniry's visit.

  2. Thank you for writing this emotional blog. In December 1944 my mother received a telegram that my father, a staff sergeant in the US Army infantry, was MIA. A few days later it was confirmed he had been killed in the Battle of the Bulge. He was buried in the American Cemetery near Belgium. All the newspaper articles, pictures of him & his medals awarded posthumously were taken by a family member so I have nothing. Please thank your uncle for all he did back then & thank you for writing this blog. I wish I could print it somehow in its entirety to keep & show my son. I was named for my father as I was born 4 months after he died.
